Reputedly, no South American revolution could start without them! Made from 1864-1934.
For collecting purposes, there are two distinctions: military, and sporting guns. The #1 Action is the largest of the rolling block actions, incorporating a wide range of chambering, from the smallest bore to the largest and heaviest calibers available. PGW offers both the civilian style buttstock (with a gentle "S"-crescent) and the military style (carbine). Receivers were originally color case hardened.
