PGW Inletting Black

Used for the perfect wood-to-metal fit.

That greasy black stuff used by professional gunsmiths for precisely fitting wood to metal. One tub will last for years when used sparingly, in accordance with PGW's Fit and Finishing Instructions.

PGW Stock Filler/Sealer

Will fill and seal the pores of the wood, making for a smoother, longer-lasting finish.

Applies easily, sands off clean. Follow directions on bottle, and finish with PGW Classic Oil Finish for an original early-style finish that's easy to maintain. The two-ounce bottle is plenty for one 2-piece set of stocks.

PGW Classic Oil Finish

An authentic early original type oil finish, will darken (but not redden) the walnut.

Formulated to closely match the appearance of early original Winchester oil finishes. Very easy to apply and maintain for a traditional, warm look. This two-ounce bottle will finish 6-8 sets of stocks. When applied properly, wood should be ready to wax in 1-2 days following application of oil finish.

PGW Gunstock Wax

Provides hard finish and protection for your oil-finished stock.

Now available in two shades - neutral, for an essentially colorless finish, and dark, which will add a rich, slightly darker tone to your stock. Creamy and easy to use, this wax provides a slight luster and a protective coating for your oil-finished stock. For easy touch-up and refinish-ability, PGW's Gunstock Wax stands alone.

We offer two stock finishing kits. The Standard Kit consists of inletting black, three grits of sandpaper, filler/sealer, PGW Classic Oil Finish, neutral colored gunstock wax, a green "Scotch-Brite" pad (replaces steel wool), polishing cloth, and brushes. Our Deluxe Kit adds a straight file, a half round file, and straight and curved hand gouges -- everything you need to properly fit and finish stocks at a savings over buying the products individually, in one handy box. The Standard Kit is $19.95; the Deluxe Kit is $34.95.
